Evaluation of Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP) of the Government of Nepal supported by the Asian Development Bank. The overall objective of this project is to reduce poverty in the rural communities of 11 districts in the Eastern Development Region (EDR) of Nepal through equitable and sustainable commercialization of agriculture through five components namely (a) Commercial Agriculture Investment and Management (b) Inclusive Development of Stakeholders (c) Market Information Dissemination (d) capacity enhancement of stakeholders and (e) project implementation support. The task of this assignment was to figure out level of impact of the Project towards reducing poverty in the project area including equitability and sustainability of commercialization of agriculture and assessing the achievement towards improving efficiency of marketing and processing of high-value crops. Formed interdisciplinary team, led team and developed the study methodology, mobilized team for survey, analysed quantitative and qualitative data, wrote report and presented it. It reviewed project documents including logical framework and indicators, assessed level of impact of the project towards reducing poverty and achievement towards improving efficiency of marketing and processing of high-value crops.
