Evaluation of Strengthening Smallholder Enterprises of Livestock Value Chain for Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth in Nepal) is one of Heifer International’s flagship projects and being at the mid-point of implementation, the mid-term evaluation is an important moment of reflection on their learning experience. The main purpose of the evaluation study was to zoom into the sub-projects to assess progress, process, impacts, and innovations to provide a balanced assessment of the sub-projects’ strengths, weaknesses, and side-effects. The main task of the senior researcher was to assist the evaluation team to oversee data collection activities to ensure the quality of data collection. The specific tasks included recruit and advise/supervision of 16 enumerators and 4 field coordinators, monitor the quality of data collected and assist for conducting key informant interviews.
